Initiate the establishment of the
Asia-Pacific One Belt One Road Industrial Fund
The Asia-Pacific One Belt One Road Industrial Fund, which is jointly established by Baida Finance Group, Xinhua News Agency Asia-Pacific Regional Bureau and N. C. N. LIMITED, has been officially launched on December 7th, 2015 in Hong Kong.
Being the largest institute of Xinhua News Agency with the coverage of 50 countries, Xinhua Asia-Pacific Regional Bureau is the main area covered by the Belt and Road initiative. Regina Ip Lau Suk-yee, member of the Executive Council of Hong Kong and member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong, and Co-chair of the Maritime Silk Road Society, said in her speech that 'One Belt, One Road' Strategy will have a significant effect not only to the Chinese Mainland, but also to Hong Kong and countries along the Belt and Road. The Belt and Road initiative offers a precious opportunity for youngsters in Hong Kong to better know histories and cultures as well as future development directions of their motherland. The establishment of the Belt and Road will bring about an earthshaking influence to Asia-Pacific region or even the entire world.
Ju Mengjun, President of Xinhua News Agency Asia-Pacific Regional Bureau, said that As China's largest national news service, Xinhua will increase its news reports on the Belt and Road initiative based on the central government's overall arrangement, and provide intellectual support with "Xinhua Silk Road" information products. Xinhua News Agency Asia-Pacific Regional Bureau will increase news reports on the Belt and Road issues in the region and build a platform for enterprises and other stakeholders by providing "Xinhua Silk Road" information products, Ju added.
The investment of this fund mainly focuses on industries in the sector of information, culture, finance, resources, energy and environmental protection in the countries and regions along the Belt and Road. It will lead the going-out of outstanding industries and enterprises under the guidance of industry fund and with the drive of financial services.
Being established in Hong Kong, this fund will extend its presence and promote its development in Asia¨CPacific region. Meanwhile, it will provide effective docking services for international capitals and industries so as to provide perfect financial services to relevant industries in the countries and regions along the Belt and Road.
